Select Location

The ideal location to install IDS IW25-5 is near an HVAC air return for efficient distribution of treated air.

Central or Open Spaces – Position dehumidifier in a central location in the target area, preferably away from corner as this allows for better air circulation and efficiency.

Keep away from adjacent walls and furniture – Maintain a minimum clearance from the sides and front of unit of 150mm-300mm to encourage good airflow circulation.

Other locations such as in the centre of the house or hallway.

Select Drainage System

We recommend the drain hose be terminated into a drainage system or an area which has good drainage. If there is no drainage system where the IDS IW25-5 is installed, we recommend installing a condensate pump (product code 25X-CP).

If gravity draining isn't feasible, the condensate pump (product code 25X-CP) will facilitate the movement of condensation up to 3 metres vertically and 4.5 metres horizontally without requiring gravity assistance.

Select Power Source

The IW25-5 On-Wall unit (product code IW25-5-OWD) is plug and play, with 2.4m power cord and 10amp plug. The unit can be hardwired; however, an isolation switch is required close to where the unit will be installed.

The IW25-5 In-Wall unit (product code IW25-5-IWD) semi recessed in conjunction with exterior sleeve (product code 25X-ES) can be plug and play. The unit can be hardwired; however an isolation switch is required close to where the unit will be installed.

For the IW25-5 In-Wall unit (product code IW25-5-IWD) fully recessed, it is required to be hardwired as there is no provision for the power cable to come out through the front panel. However, an isolation switch is required close to where the unit will be installed.
